I am happy with the direction GE is going; equalized PVP. Although I am not too keen on the scheduling of the world cross pvp events, as it starts 6am in the morning for me... right when I'm getting ready for work, but it's the right kind of equal play GE needs. Spending all that time and money on pvp equipment was, in this new era of GE game play, essentially worthless. I can get my ass handed to me with a player using pioneer equipment now. However, I don't want to remove the importance of the right equipment for colony war and raids. I'm just saying that my pvp fix can now be alleviated with these new installments, without getting grubby with my money. I think that this new direction along with my LC family are the only aspects of granado that keep me tethered to the game as a loyal player. Otherwise, I would of put my account on ice.

After sharing our rituals for chipping equips I thought I would test this one out. A faction mate, who will remain nameless (haha), chips his stuff while playing Lady Gaga music. So I loaded up on vet chips and started chipping away while bumping Bad Romance. A lot of fails, but a lot of racial stats nonetheless... at least more than I normally get. I will incorporate Gaga into my own regimen of ritualistic nonsense. I hold my breath before I click, make figure eights with the mouse before I click, and scroll all my menus to the bottom. It's pathetic to say out loud, actually. But it's really all unconscious habits.

It would definitely wake up dormant pvpers and draw in more active gameplay. I suppose removing Dios loots would make it feasible. The DOTA concept is completely destroyed in Granado. It's ridiculous.

The Dragon's Wings Dagger was finally released in ABS and so I spammed the 630 I saved since the series debuted in ABS. Unfortunately, I didn't get the dagger, but hopefully a player who did will be willing to trade it for the Dragon Eye Bracelet I got. Woot woot!

If that doesn't somehow work out for me, the GE gods have blessed me with another chance to possess the dagger with another lovely design event; a banner promoting the release of a new version update.

So as I train my other 2 Cath's to Master, unfortunately the slow afk way, I'll simultaneously be working on their daggers. Here's one that just needs another socket and it's pretty much done. I horded all my ABS's from top-ups so I could try my luck when the dragonic dagger comes along. I'm even willing to trade my dragonic javelin for it.. But hopefully the 400+ ABS is enough. Just know that I've been saving for a while.

Am I the only one who feels wronged by the third rule of the new Loading Screen Design Event?! "No homosexuality". Like someone just spit in my face... It kind of seems like no one else shares the same feelings. My fac-mates sort of just laughed it off in a joke. Then I felt like a joke. Proposition 8 in California was recently overturned. It was the prop that denied gays and lesbians from marriage. When it was announced that prop 8 was overturned, I didn't feel happy at all. It's a good thing gays can once again marry, but it doesn't take away from the fact that more than half of California supported prop 8 and made it pass in the first place. As Brian from Queer As Folk always says, "there are two kinds of straight people; ones that hate you to your face and ones that hate you behind your back". I don't believe that's true, but I've come to be more aware of those that hate me behind my back.

Having an extra comp a is pretty nifty investment. Here's why:

1. Source of NPC cards (Calyce, Baihu, Grandice, etc)

2. Item farming (runes, liquefied gas, chips, etc)

3. Character leveling, then merc to main account

4. Team Arena mule/starter

5. Arsene Raid mule/starter

6. Extra vault space

7. Video casting/props

8. Colony war warp surveillance (enemy location)

I guess a drawback would be coming home to a sauna room. Computers running GE all day generate lotsa heat. Solution = liquid gel coolers + open windows.

It's a rare event, but I prefer not being referred to by my real name in Granado. I'm fine with nicknames or any short aberration of my real name, but I prefer my IGN. It's not to avoid establishing beyond-virtual friendships, but to sustain my view of Granado as more of an escape than an extension of real life. Lately though I've found it to be, almost naturally, the latter. It's inevitable to form bonds with other players, even if they're hundreds of miles away. So why can't Granado be the neighbor I greet in the morning before I go to work, or the friend on the phone I say goodnight to? I'm gonna stop right now. I realize how corny it's gotten... little hungover.

Every so often I convert vis into elemental jewels and store in my vault as a kind of savings system. My goal is to save enough for an Elite Le Noir that some quitting veteran may want to relinquish. I don't get saddened at all if top players get bored of GE and decide to vend their shit - unless I know and like them of course. There has been a single time I've edged near quitting due to boredom, but even then I knew I would return again with a stronger gamer spirit.

One of my weapon designs managed to get into a runner-up spot. I got some freebie ABS and an expert home premium service (30 days). woot!

Last note: Chipping constellation weapons is a bitch.

Based off another design (Purity Suit) and originally meant for elementalists, but I thought it would make a better "armor" for scouts. I was going in the direction of a very showy leotard that a trapeze artist would wear. A leotard, regardless of how gay it sounds, doesn't hinder movement and allows the body to perform "extraordinary feats of balance, agility and motor coordination" and of course effortless stabbing. I'm a little stumped on a proper name. I was thinking a traditional Trapeze Group name, like "The Flying Graysons" (Batman)... or maybe something simple and straightforward like "Acrobat Suit".

I gave myself a couple hours to design this earlier today before I went into study mode. It was sort of a speedy job so I can at least get my concept down; mainly the two-instead-of-one blade idea. Not as novel as I would have hoped, but I think it pooped out all right.

I had this Chimera concept I wanted to mold around a bayonet, but the task of placing a lion on a rifle was troublesome. I easily managed conforming the goat and snake to the rifle, but adding a lion was a compositional disaster. Lion heads (with mane) are effen bulky. Further efforts suspended.

A new buddy of mine just got scammed by a fac-jumper and I see it necessary to help him. A fac-jumper is an established player, likely with a high family level who joins a faction, gains their trust, "borrows" items, then abruptly leaves. The scammer would then change his IGN, and repeat. If you want to bring this to Game Services' attention and have that fucker banned from the game, follow this guide to correctly file a ticket:

Go to GE website.

On the left-hand menu click Support, then HelpDesk.

On the Game Feedback box, click Scam.

Fill out the necessary fields.

In the Subject field put this code: GE-080623-0000023

You can copy and paste this as your response:
Walkerferoz and his/her many aliases have been joining factions, gaining their trust, stealing items, and then leaves the faction. He/she then changes his/her IGN and repeats this scheme. This has to be considered a form of a scam, and should be somehow resolved (e.g. prevent him from changing his IGN at the least).

The point of this is to barrage Game Service with the same complaint for them to actually see it as an enveloping issue. If they they do, hopefully Walkerferoz will never walk down the beaches of Bahia Island again... ok sorry that was just cheesey. haha

Along with OPERATION: 110 Orgy, I'm in the process of stocking up with race-exclusive daggers. I have yet to chip any Undead stabbers. Right now, I have 70% as my cut-off but I may increase the standard to 80% or above. I'll enhance and add rumin once I've completed the entire set (at least two race daggers for every race).

A little note on the Helena website game: It seems conventional probability doesn't apply to the game dynamics. That is, if you continue to pick the same card (position) the jackpot card is bound to show up in that position. However, it does not. Getting a jackpot is likely determined by how many consecutive g-points are being spent for each round. It seems above 60 consecutive rounds (60,000 gpts) is when you are able to get a jackpot card. I didn't test it myself (I stopped at round 40). I deduced this from other players' experiences (those successful in getting a jackpot card).

I've always been somewhat indifferent to the politics that occur among factions, especially the rivalries that develop into resentment. I encountered someone in the game that was so passionate about hating my guts, and I didn't even know the dude! He spoke to me as if I was this generalized subpopulation of players, like a racist who would refer to someone as being inferior based on the group they belong to. Apparently, I can't be trusted because I'm from LC. I'm guessing he was previously wronged from someone in our faction, and now bares this unreasonable hate towards the whole group. It's so childish, it's funny.

Anyway, today during the CW I ran into this family with my arnis build and I totally targeted each of his characters simultaneously with the dagger throwing skill and successfully KO'd. I totally felt like a ninja!

I've re-focused on my arnis build. So far, they're only good for colony breaking, but seeing as CW is now 4am for me I doubt seeing them in any action until the next daylight savings (or at least when I sleep early Saturday evening). After I master the last scout (currently level 8 expert) I'll attempt to translate the dagger trio into a raid and pvp-friendly build. Getting race daggers would fulfill the raid part, but pvp is quite difficult. In recent Poison Yards the arnis build has only proven to be good support in the context of a beefy squad (for easy stun and paralysis, buffing, and resuscitation). I find paralysis an important aspect in terms of support, especially for those pesky scouts and Grandices with 50k HP, but I'd also like them to be adept at killing.

I've neglected my fighter from the first day I got him as a mercenary, and I guess his new look inspired me to invest some time into his training/equipment. I've recently mastered the last member of my main build, my musketeer. Now I'm working on a Scout-Scout-Soho(wind) build for fun, complete with decent daggers and the arnis stance. I tested the dps on a colony at Tierra del Amor and it took 13 minutes to destroy, keeping in mind that Soho does not have the arnis stance yet (just veteran). Normally with a build of 3 Diegos, it would take less than 10 minutes; however, it takes more time to set up (build blades) and to switch back to the offensive (change chars). With great AR/Human daggers, the arnis build has a better chance of killing off any offending players who interrupt your break without going back to barracks. Then again, having faction mates being your offensive cancels my whole arnis>diego reasoning lol. In retrospect, I'm still only making this build for fun. Paralysis+attackspeed is pretty imba support also.

My beautiful Scout has recently been promoted to Master, with Mr. Musk and Ele slowly trailing behind. After that arduous task, I'll train my lowbies all to 100 to raise my family level. It'll do some good to have the extra boost in HP and ATK.

I've been buying Frog Fish Spinelles off the Zeia shop and all the drops have been crap. I've been through 6 and no sign of DHr. One of the FF just dropped a single pure talt. I spent 10m for a fuckin' pure talt... I have a 20% drop rate buff, a 20% field manual, and summoned PanPan (another 20%) and get one mutha effin pure talt. I wouldn't be surprised that the drop rate for DHr was NERFED, or more likely, removed. IAH you sneaky fucks.

I spent a lot for 2 more defense rating points. However, I'll get half of what I spent back as soon as I sell my previous armor. While I was chipping, enhancing, and socketing, a funny topic popped up in the fac chat: "techniques" for succeeding in all of the above. I'll share my secret jutsu for socketing b/c... I like tuhtles. Talk to Claire (the hooker on the street corner), clicking socket service. When socket window pops up, cancel. Repeat previous steps until Claire's dialogue changes. She'll say something about being friends for ever. You'll be given a list of options to choose from. Choose the one about being friends forever (the other options are unintelligible... stupid bitch). Now click socket service and proceed to socket your item. I'm gonna go ahead and say this works only once a day, even though this parameter wasn't thoroughly tested. I lack the patience. I have something for enhancing but it's more of a ritual than an actual method. I just /broad how much enhancing is nerfed, wait a couple minutes, then proceed to enhance. Soo stupid.

I think I actually turned off the music in GE sometime after vetting my first character. I forgot how nice some of the tracks were. This is one of my faves from the GE soundtrack. In my opinion, the storyline(s) of Granado are kind of boring and mediocre, or maybe it's just how they're presented... very lackluster. Woohoo! DOTA is coming to Granado Espada! I'm looking forward to Team Arena! Nothing fun about Granado lately, and I used to DOTA a lot when I had WC3. I actually choose to play Solitaire on my computer than have to log on to Granado. That's how monotonous it's [GE] gotten.

Sadly, war among the factions has ceased, and I'm left with nothing interesting again. However, the GE Powers That Be have finally followed up with the Quest Master's Challenge. Congratulations to Arconis of Rembrandt! The in-game quest translation from her story was awkward and confusing but I can understand how difficult said translation can be executed practically. During the quest I noticed Vergo was wearing a dress... Unfortunately it wears pant as well. No crotch shots today.

Community Crew Quest: Know the Se7en Sins of Mankind!

Here's my entry. I hoped for a screen shot with a more dynamic angle, but not a lot can be done when the mobs are always getting in the shot. The best I can do with the patience I had was a screen with a single dragonwasp being a little twat. Ahh yes. Once a lush and thick forest, now a map full of stumps claimed by man as Ferruccio Junction. A sin that would best follow this is Pride, with a screen of the huge statue that's (still) being built. Remember that quest when you first started playing Granado about the terrorists trying to blow up that statue. Ya shoulda let 'em.

So Destiny Faction has claimed PK-mode against LC. For whatever reason, I don't really give a shit, I just hope this virtual tension dissipates. I don't join a community, game or real life, to make enemies that you actually give effort to hate. If your ID tag is red I'm not gonna attack you because I hate you, but because your fuckin ID tag is red and the game allows me to! No hard feelings.

Something amusing today... I attempted to enhance level 36 swords to +5, blind, for my Roms and Tibs. I must've gone through 60 or 70 swords and no +5, which is supposedly a 50-50 chance of success. 60 or 70 swords! Something fishy was going on. I don't blame it on bad luck with such odds. So i complain on the broad, warning other players of the apparent nerfness. After several minutes I decide to try 6 more swords... All +5! Someone was listening, shit. Maybe I should bitch a broad before I enhance more serious equips. The CMs might temporarily adjust my probability rates to shut me up.

For the Quest Master's Challenge, a contest where the winner's story gets turned into a quest, I made a story about Diablo (Diable Trainer's Request). I formatted my entry into a quest for merely visual effects. Someone pm'd me earlier today. It was totally cute and funny.

I have stepped into a state of boredom with Granado. Hopefully it's only temporary. All I look forward to now is PVP and hunting for constellation signs. I have pisces and aries so far.

So I finally beat Novia (quest not raid). Best strat is to load up on invisible pots and stealth up some hard/fast hitting DPS characters. I just used Claude, Musk, and Ele. Accel+Hrin+Watermelon buffs make my ele's elemental lord stance into outrage shot! Muy fast!

I made another Black Bishop cause I was too in love with my first BB's stats (30/30+daemon). Does wonders in the Rebo Culverts and against Diablo and Gero. Well, 190m vis (Dragon Heart craft) and almost 50 chips later I get my new human Bishop (39+human). Right after obtaining the man-eating bracelet, I went to Poison Yard where I engaged in probably the most exciting PVP evar! My ele's attacks were actually killing people now! Hallelujah.

Suck Week

Been having a string of bad luck in Granado lately. I stupidly broke a fresh ELN, gambling with only 10 boosters (instead of the full 20). I made another to relieve myself of the drowning feeling that followed the break, then +5'd it (-20 boosters). I also experienced the heartache that goes with 2 unsuccessful +6 enhancing. I used a total of 80 boosters and two +5 Vet Imperviums. 20 lvl.100 chip/tranq packages leaving my fresh Black Bishop with only 39ATK (even though I sacrificed 100 goats to the Enchanting Goddess). 8 failed socketing attempts (-8 socket tranqs). And a partridge in a fucking pear tree. If it wasn't for maintenance, I would've done something crazy and start selling off my characters for vis. @_@

So I've rearrange my main team to Claude, Scout, and Elementalist. I think it's a good team for both raids and pvp. I'm going to focus now on my main team and quests/raids. I'm currently on the quest to defeat half of Novia. So far, unsuccessful. Stupid whore.

I've already managed to vet the female musk. I'm hoping to have an expert DPS team in a couple of months (Musk, Musk, Brunie). I made the wizard for kicks. I'm putting off training for a while to finish the much put off quests. Heavenlysage managed to get a Frog Fish spinelle, which was a huge relief for me. Camping for the bastard fish was a bitch and resulted only in wasted combat manuals and sleep drool on my desk.

So i was doing the IOF Treasure Hunt and brought the usual lvl.100 detectors. What sucked was that the treasure was located at the last area and my characters started to die off one by one. I was left with a single Diego, less than half HP, and i find the treasure. I prayed to jeebus that the mobs wouldn't kill me as i was still knocked down on the floor. I had no soul crystals left either. I spammed pots and picked up the loot with success. Carbon gaiters and a couple e.84 weapons.

Biggest IAHGames Scandal Ever

My conspiracy theory is that these "server issues" during the ABS promo are nothing more than a game-wide scam. Let's break it down...

ABS 800% promo announced > Royal Services (gpt - abs conversion) offline. Players must resort to top-up to obtain ABS (IAHGames income) > My Bellem's Box (100 ABS) goes out of stock. IAH goal achieved > Royal Services now online > ABS promo period still in motion yet loot has been reverted back to normal.

Now why revert back to normal when goal was already achieved? ...To prevent players from getting bored of the game. Gameplay economy reduced dramatically (DHr now 800m!). Discouraged players lose interest in game. Less players, less occurence of topping up, less IAH income.

I base this theory on my own unfortunate experiences and testimonials from other players. The last part is a shot in the dark, but IAHGames and those related havent had the best of reputations.

The G-points-to-ABS conversion is still bugged and the current conspiracy theory is that it was purposefully deactivated during the 800% ABS promo. This will leave players with the only option to obtain ABS via topping up, thus ensuring a boost in IAHGames income. I stopped giving the GE Powers That Be the benefit of the doubt after the much unfair War of the Factions colony wars. Something I haven't done that most GE blogs have; some sort of guide. It's more of a tip than a guide. I despise training at Island of Fire. No elbow room. So while upping the crafters i've discovered several places that almost match the qualities of a Forgotten/Ancient Territory. This way you'll save your G-points on vanity items like Karja or Andre Boxes hehe. Future posts tagged as "GUIDE:HotSpots".

Map Name: The Lava Plateau of Joaquin
Grid Coordinates: E7 or F6 (road forks)
Recommended Level: 68-76
Spawn Rate: Slow-Moderate
Mob Details: All Wild Beast class. All Melee. Knock down indidence is low. Wolf spawn may flee.
Tips: Though the spawn rate is just moderate, these areas seem to be almost always occupied. The Bear Leader will spawn every two hours, more or less. I only train characters in the recommended level range then move on.

Things are getting a little busy in the real world, so i'm going to put focus on gameplay that doesn't involve me to be there; AFK-mode. With a hefty supply of expert combat manuals I'll try to raise all the crafters to level 100. I'll kill two birds with one stone that way; raising my family level and possessing all the crafters to be self-sufficient (and not having to bug other players to craft me something).

I welcome to the family: Revanta (Calyce), named after the Hindu god of hunters; Ninegal (Idge), named after the Mesopotatmian god of smiths; and Tapio (Lorch), named after the Finnish hunting god. I wasn't planning on creating a Calyce until after this last colony war. Her skills are sneaky and deadly. And also I got a her mask from a Karja box. Since I have a lot of free time as a 2008 graduate on winter break, I thought getting back into aimless drawing would do my eventless days some justice. Some more fanart is in order, especially after doing one as an entry for the recent GE holiday event. I liked the idea of drawing the older characters in their younger years, maybe way before the 3 year war, but significantly different nonetheless. I like Claude in his twenties... His golden years. Ok, so when Santa called out my name to claim my Naughty or Nice event prize, I broaded my presence. Unfortunately, Santa wasn't aware that BotKilla=Divinicus and just skipped me. Whichever GM hosted was apparently too lazy to look at my forum signature or even show an effort to investigate it. It was so frustrating, because I was there broading my frakkin' heart out, trying to convince the GM that it was me. Since I live in the US, the event took place midnight to 1:30am, the time my family opens gifts. So while my family was downstairs celebrating Christmas, I was upstairs like a frakkin' tool, waiting for the lollygaggin' GM to call out names. Today is the last day for the event, so redemption is still possible for those who do not wish to receive a death hex from me.

Since I infrequently look at the official GE website, I found out about the event reading Ashardalon's blog. Finally, an event involving fanart! Even though I haven't drawn anything in a semester or two, I've always hoped I could win free shit drawing. I have an idea involving RNPCs in their younger years celebrating Christmas. The event deadline is five days away, but I have 3 days to play host to some visitors, so I have two days to whip something up. I hoped to have a digital finish and get some use out of my dusty ass tablet, but with the time constraints I may end up with a good old pencil and paper product. I did a couple sketches of Claude and Catherine in their younger years (the ones I did of Grace failed). I have yet to decide which RNPCs will be included, but I have an idea of making a young Grandice in her pre-butch-lesbian days.

Prison Break

So I've been recently imprisoned for using a third party program. I know, I know, I've become a total hippacrit (my forum screenname is botkilla). I've removed the tool from my system and I'm going back to legit gameplay. I've had it only for a week, and even if I managed to expert a Claude and nearly vet my breakers, I've more than learned my lesson... I realized I don't need it! I'm done with school suckas! I can play all day (or at least check more often on my AFK status). While in prison I encountered PKing REDs... players supposedly influenced by Eminence Faction. They purposely go to the Prison to keep Alliance players from completing the prison quest, forcing them to miss Colony Wars or raids or whatever. Of course this is all speculation, but nothing has convinced me otherwise. Either way, what a bunch of douchebags (Families Blazefury, Cornelius, Jesire, and spec..lord)! When I wasn't looking for rats to kill, I was PKing (Factions FirstChoice and IAHed) with fellow inmates from AS and DT. Although as fun as that was, the whole experience wasn't worth my time. I'd rather wake up from a nap to see my characters dead than see them in the barracks with the Underground Prison as my starting location.

In that whole mess I realized how much hositility follows when joining a big name faction. However, I don't regret joining LC. If it means I have to put up with more douchebags, so be it.

I thought my breaker team needed a more useful breaker-type character than a scout (buff/daggers), so I recruited Angie (whom I named after a Mesopotamian building god). Now that I'm done experting my second Claude, Angie and the Diegos is now priority. Having contruction-type characters is a good investment. They're great with high spawn-rate mobs (i.e. ancient territory, IOF), can be used in IOF treasure hunts, and can quickly break colonies during CW. I guess the only drawback is that their skills are tedious to continuously execute. My goal is to vet them before the next colony war so they can at least stand up to spinelle damage. Speaking of which, during this last colony war I was protected from two casted volcanic eruptions by a spinelle mob. So I was pretty much there wailing on the faction colony evading all the enemys' AOEs. Another way spinelles are beneficial to the spinelled and not the spinellee is that they cover up your characters making single targeting by enemies difficult.

Monster Encounters

Ever since I started this Granado blog I've been spamming the print screen key every time something pops up. I finally saw and fought that Toubkal Merman Eater. It spawned in Via Fluvia. While running to it's broaded location I passed several dead families. It must be near! Merman has got to be the most annoying thing to fight. It AOE'd like every five seconds! That significantly slowed the dps. Basically it was just me and another LC member. Everyone else was either dead and afk or alive and watching from a safe distance. I can't believe the pioneer memorial requires 50 Merman kills to get a single measley Epic Glazium. Lame.

Last night was my first King of Greed raid boss. Apparently the best thing against it is a Claude with an undead racist polearm. It was one big Claude orgy! The fatties were so dog-piled I didn't even get to see the King.

Mada mada! This morning I did Garim's Nest raid for the first time. I spent most of the time ressing the fallen, but it was fun. It had an annoying dispel AOE and a nasty 1-hitter-quitter AOE.

Haha I dunno... I saw this on my way saving warps before CW. It's a level 6 Hill Giant.

War Of The Spinelles III

Colony Wars is way fun after the reset! Less waiting. I put my new warp slots and the Diegos to good use, but switched to pvp team after the spinelle strategy kicked in. I can't complain because I'm guilty of it also. Spamming spinelles near your colony creates a whole lot of lag, dramatically slowing any attack against the colony. It's such a dirty strategy, but hey it works. I should of took a screen shot of my single Claude running around Deserted Quay being chased by reds and leaving a trailing of Vladimirs and Thoras. I made the map run one frame per second. Muwhaha!

After CW, everyone rushed to the Secret Temple. I am four Hero Seals away from whatever I'm suppose to get when I reach 50. I've been told you get a necklace but I've also heard you get a back costume. Whatever it is, it sure as hell be worth all those Poison Yards. If not, those Chimeras and Gereros would have died in vain. R.I.P.
